Maya Pipeline & Tool TD

Studio Zubio is looking for a Maya Tool Writer / Technical Director to support the maintenance and ongoing improvement of the studio tools and pipeline workflow while keeping the artist and production team’s requirements in mind.

​

This is currently a remote/telecommute position.

​

Responsibilities:

​

  • Provide software and tools support to production and artists

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support

  • Works daily with Production team to identify and implement existing and new features

  • Troubleshoot artist tool issues; develop effective solutions

  • Write Technical Briefs and UI documentation

  • Complete various tasks as assigned

 

Qualifications:

​

  • 2+ years’ experience in film, TV or games

  • Intermediate to advanced level user of Maya

  • Strong Python and MEL scripting skills

  • C++, Maya API and  Shotgun (preferred)

  • Knowledge of Maya rigging techniques

  • Experience with Rigging, Animation and Creature FX (preferred)

  • Familiarity with Unreal or Unity

  • Basic knowledge of Linux

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Detail oriented and strong self-sufficient troubleshooter

  • Write and maintain technical documentation

  • Able to take direction

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
